Shah Jahan, a Mughal Emperor, ordered to build this monument in the memory of his third and favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. She died during the birth of their 14th child. It took more than 21 years to complete structure. And that is why it is called the symbol of love. The bottom line is that it is a fascinating structure and is definitely worth a trip.
